Cementing Additives

Well cementing is the process of creating a cement slurry and pumping it through steel casing to critical points in the annulus or in the open hole below the casing string. Common types of cementing applications include conductor or surface casing, intermediate string casing, production string casing or production liner, squeeze, and plugging. Each job's success lies in the performance of the additives incorporated into the cement slurry along a thorough understanding of the dynamic forces at work at surface and downhole.
